• Born 1953 in Rupea/Romania, studies in German and English literature. Teacher.
• Professional and publication ban in Romania from 1985-88. Moved to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1988.
• Member of German Writers Federation and International PEN Club, center for German language authors.

• Literature award of the Esslingen Artists Guild for prose, 1998
• Literature award of the Artists Guild, 1999 (1st prize for poetry)
• Stipend of the Writers’ and Translators’ Centre of Rhodes, May / June 2000
